On the subject of "On the subject of Schedules"

This is bunk.

I know I wrote it, but it’s still bunk.

One of the reasons for this is that I had second thoughts while I was writing it, but still kept on with it. That is also quite clearly bunk.

The reason for it’s bunkiness is, quite simply, that it is wrong. Not completely and utterly wrong, but wrong nonetheless.
You should not have a schedule where all you do is make up bunk to write about when you need a new post. You should have this kind:

List in The Hit List full of blog ideas
This is a list of everything I could be blogging, except for “on iwill”, which I have no idea about what it is and have just deleted. When a new repeating task pops up that’s not the control (this is a bit difficult to explain, but the checkbox with the arrows in it at the bottom is the control, and changes to that are made to all repeating events it spawns in the future. Every interval you set, it duplicates itself except without the arrows, and you can change that one), move one of your ideas to be a subtask of it. Then write it there. However, if you have no good ideas, don’t make your followers suffer through bad posts, because that’s a good way to get rid of them.

Don’t worry about being a dinosaur, you’ve got a while, and chances are that if you’re not posting people will forget about you. If you’re posting crap, however, they’ll unsubscribe.

My pocdasting logic was a bit fuzzy as well. I conveniently “forgot” that iTunes stops updating when you have five unheard episodes, or something like that, so nothing relies on your end. Tactics like forgetting facts are also bunk, if you want a tip.

All in all, what you should take away from this is (1) only blog if you’re going to be interesting, and (2) don’t be afraid to admit when your post is bunk.
