iTunes Support is Awesome
If you follow my Tumblr blog (which, let’s face it, you probably don’t), you might know of a minor annoyance I had relating to iTunes. It wasn’t such a big deal, but I think it came at the end of a bad day.

My dog was just given a preliminary diagnosis of liver cancer. We don’t know much more beyond that, besides that it’s pretty advanced—all throughout his liver.
My grandfather was recently in the hospital for two and a half months after a hip replacement, for rectal bleeding and diarrhea. He was out for a week, then went back in on or right before Thanksgiving.
It makes me realize what a lucky life I’ve had in this regard. The worst thing I can think of was my great-grandmother peacefully passing away, even though I’ve met her only once that I remember. Among friends, the worst thing is the death of the dad of a childhood friend I hadn’t seen in almost three years.
Still, it hurts.
That’s why I might be inactive here or on IMP, and might not be online for a while, or be curt with you when I am. And, though it seems callous, please don’t offer your consolations. Although I recognize that they’re meant with only the best intentions, I hate it when people say that to me—it’s a personal failing. As they say, it’s not you, it’s me.
Thanks.

It’s been so long in the making that this is now the third time I completely changed half of what’s in it and I need to retake all the screenshots—usually I get to the screenshotting phase and don’t make it beyond there. This time I’m starting with the words, to see if that makes any difference. I actually write so much that this is the first of three such posts, but the second may be a long way off.
